Responsibilities : Draft, review, negotiate and close a wide variety of corporate /commercial contracts and documentation, viz. Digital Lending, Fixed Deposits, Lead Generation, Credit Lending, Revenue Agreement, Account Aggregation, Service Agreements, Vendor/Supplier Agreements, Licensing Agreement, NDAs, Statements of Work, Privacy Policies, Terms of Use, Disclaimers etc. Develop and Implement comprehensive compliance programs tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the fintech industry, encompassing regulatory requirements and contractual obligations. Conduct Regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement, ensuring that all contractual commitments are met in addition to regulatory compliance. Provide strategic legal counsel to internal stakeholders on regulatory matters, contract interpretation, and compliance obligations, guiding decision-making processes and mitigating risks. Reviews and interprets contractual language critically to determine obligations and ensures that contracts contain all appropriate terms and conditions and assists in approving or rejecting requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules. Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice directly to business clients. Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the Legal team, Finance team, business teams, and other internal teams. Manage assigned projects to completion. Stay Informed of emerging trends, regulatory developments, and industry standards impacting the fintech sector, advising the company on potential implications for contractual and regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for interactions with regulatory authorities, managing inquiries, submissions, and reporting obligations with integrity and professionalism. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into all aspects of our business processes, including product development, risk management, and operations. Establish processes and procedures to monitor and track contract compliance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address non-compliance issues. Lead or support investigations and enforcement actions related to compliance matters, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve resolution. Qualifications : Five to Eight years of experience as a legal counsel specializing in corporate legal and compliance/ regulatory risks within the fintech industry. Bachelor\'s degree in Law from a recognized Indian university; additional qualifications such as LL.M. or certifications in fintech law or compliance are highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape governing fintech companies, with a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Proven track record of successfully liaising with regulatory bodies such as the RBI, SEBI, and other relevant authorities, managing regulatory interactions and inquiries with professionalism and integrity. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex legal and regulatory issues and provide pragmatic solutions that balance legal requirements with business objectives. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong ethical compass and commitment to upholding integrity and compliance in all aspects of our operations and interactions.
