Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced legal professional to serve as a Legal Retainer. This position will provide ongoing legal support and services to the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and offering legal advice on a variety of matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of corporate law and experience in handling legal issues in a business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract-Lifecycle Management
Drafting and reviewing agreements, and other legal documents.
Oversee the organization's , from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal.
Develop and maintain contract templates, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate withstakeholders, including executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
Getting on calls with parties, including clients, vendors, and outside counsel, as required for speedy closure of contracts.
2. Legal Opinion
Advise on legal matters affecting the organization's operations, including but not limited to contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, litigation, and corporate governance.
Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
3. Litigation Management
Management of litigation and disputes, including working with external counsel
Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information and documentation in preparation for litigation proceedings.
Collaborate with external counsel to develop litigation strategy, including case evaluation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
Reviewing drafts prepared by the external counsel to ensure accuracy, completeness, and representation of interest.
Maintain an organized system for tracking litigation deadlines, court appearances, and other key milestones.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of ongoing litigation matters, including risk assessments and potential impacts on the organization.
4. Employment Law and HR Support:
Advise on employment law matters, including hiring, termination, discrimination, and harassment.
Review and draft employment-related agreements, policies- such as Equal Employment and Anti-Discrimination Statement, PoSH Policy, Fraternization Policy, Gender Inclusion Policy, Policies aligned with Disabilities Act and the Transgender Persons Act.
Provide legal support to the HR department on employee relations issues and disputes.

Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) or equivalent.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification.
Admission to the bar in [relevant jurisdiction].
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm.
Proven experience in handling complex legal matters and providing strategic legal advice.
Responsible for India and US legal compliances
