: Legal AssociatePosition Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Legal Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal research, drafting, litigation, and tribunal appearances. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple legal tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Drafting:
• Prepare and review a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and motions.
• Ensure all legal documents are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist in the drafting of policies, memoranda, and other legal correspondence.
• Legal Research:
• Conduct thorough legal research on a variety of issues, including case laws, statutes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide well-researched legal opinions and recommendations to senior attorneys and clients.
• Stay updated with recent legal developments and ensure the application of current legal standards.
• Litigation Support:
• Assist in all stages of litigation, including case preparation, filing, and trial.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Prepare evidence, gather facts, and organize documents for court proceedings.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings.
• Tribunal Appearances:
• Represent clients in tribunal hearings and other dispute resolution forums.
• Present cases effectively, ensuring adherence to tribunal rules and procedures.
• Liaise with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for tribunal cases.
• Client Interaction:
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist in the development of client relationships through regular communication and support.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with the company's operations and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Administrative Duties:
• Support senior attorneys in various administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, organizing case files, and maintaining the legal database.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide legal assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution. An additional postgraduate qualification (LL.M) is a plus.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on drafting, litigation, and tribunal appearances.
• Licensure: Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing with the relevant Bar Association.

• Legal Drafting: Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail and precision.
• Research: Strong research abilities, with proficiency in legal databases and research tools.
• Litigation: Experience in managing litigation processes and familiarity with courtroom procedures.
• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking with the capability to identify and resolve legal issues effectively.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Attributes:

• Tribunal Experience: Prior experience in appearing before tribunals or similar quasi-judicial bodies.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with legal research software and case management systems.
• Client Service: Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal services and client satisfaction.
