Position Summary:

The Legal & Liaisoning Manager in the real estate industry is responsible for managing all legal aspects of the company's real estate transactions and projects. This includes overseeing legal documentation, ensuring compliance with real estate laws, negotiating contracts, and liaising with government authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Management:

Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate agreements including leases, purchase agreements, sale agreements, and other property-related contracts.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.

Manage litigation and dispute resolution related to real estate matters.

Provide legal advice to management on property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.

Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions and disposals.

Liaisoning Activities:

Act as the primary contact between the company and government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders.

Facilitate approvals, licenses, and permits required for real estate projects.

Coordinate with local municipal authorities for land registration, mutation, and other legal formalities.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain and manage all legal documentation and records related to the company's real estate portfolio.

Ensure timely and accurate filing of all legal documents.

Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations and advise the company accordingly.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate transactions and projects.

Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.

Provide training to staff on legal issues and compliance related to real estate.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.

Minimum of [10] years of experience in legal and liaisoning roles within the real estate industry.

Strong knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Proven experience in negotiating and drafting real estate contracts and agreements.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in legal research and documentation.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in handling litigation and dispute resolution in the real estate sector.

Knowledge of local languages and legal practices in the region.
