Responsibilites :
1. Drafting and reviewing contracts for construction projects, including agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
2. Providing legal guidance on regulatory compliance, zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
3. Managing litigation and dispute resolution related to construction contracts, delays, defects, and payment disputes.
4. Advising on risk management strategies and insurance coverage for construction projects.
5. Conducting due diligence for property acquisitions and development projects.
6. Negotiating and resolving issues with government agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
7. Keeping abreast of changes in construction law and industry standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
8. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address legal concerns throughout the construction process.
9. Developing and delivering training programs for company staff on legal issues relevant to construction operations.
10. Representing the company in negotiations, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.
Job Requirment :
.1. LLB from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Strong understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
6. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Familiarity with relevant software tools and technologies for legal research and document management.
8. Commitment to staying updated on changes in construction law and industry best practices.
10. Experience in litigation and dispute resolution is preferred but not always required.
