GSS touches virtually every aspect of the General Mills enterprise, including EmployeeServices, Business Services, Global Workforce Solutions, and Global Data Governance Services.For more details about General Mills please visit thisPurpose of the roleThe purpose of the role of LMS Specialist is to administer and provide technical support for global Learning Management System, as well as provide end user support for the system.The successful candidate should display a wide range of troubleshooting and process skills; however, primary responsibilities include: * Serve as an LMS super user for Cornerstone LMS.

  • Create and maintain knowledge database, e.g., OPL\xe2\x80\x99s, etc.
  • Provide support for LMS end users across General Mills.
  • Issue resolution/escalation to IT (and vendors if necessary) to ensure smooth functioning of the LMS.
  • Provide LMS consultation and technical assistance to L&D employees as required.
  • Contribute to the development of your own technical acumen in the learning arenas.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
LMS Administration
  • Set up courses, curriculums, assessments, certifications, evaluations, topics, communities, etc. in compliance with governance standards.
  • Follow-up with training requestors as necessary.
  • Educate training requestors on what is/is not possible in the LMS.
  • Generate and schedule reports.
  • Load data scripts, evaluation, and communication templates in the system.
  • Manage LMS role permissions as appropriate.
  • Attend all required system trainings and admin meetings.
  • Participate in governance committee meetings.
LMS Troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot / respond to enterprise wide LMS inquiries and incident tickets.
  • Consult/Follow up on issues/troubleshooting with HR Direct/HRIS/External Support/Consultants/vendor to provide timely resolution.
  • End user support and troubleshooting.
  • Resolve reporting queries.
  • Resolve LMS integration queries.
  • Send alerts to TOC/Learning Leaders on any system wide issues.
Testing and upgrades
  • Perform functionality testing of normal LMS/integrations (UAT) during implementation and upgrades in the test environment.
  • Perform functionality testing of normal LMS/integrations (UAT) during implementation and upgrades in the production environment.
  • Report issues to the concerned teams and follow up until resolved.
  • Migration of learning data to newer systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education \xe2\x80\x93 Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with various L&D tools.
  • Experience with Cornerstone LMS, Workday data.
Other specific skills required -
  • Can work effectively in an ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong technical understanding of LMS like Cornerstone or SABA
  • Troubleshooting expertise.
  • Solid interpersonal skills/customer mindset.
  • Knowledge of eLearning development standards like Tin Can (HTML5), SCORM, xAPI, etc.
  • MS Office, Excel.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow) will be an advantage.
  • Experience with a cloud based LMS would be preferable.
