Work Model: Remote Description Our client is a leading US-based manufacturer of medical devices developing innovative medical systems and services that provide patient monitoring and cardiology diagnostics to clinicians and healthcare facilities around the world. Our team is focusing on designing and developing the next iterations of complex software/hardware platform for patient monitoring, where the software has strong restrictions for safety and quality. We\'re looking for someone who is a little more than an automation developer, someone who also has defined how automation is to be architected and work. The Principal Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be a member of the engineeringteam working on the development of Patient Monitoring and Connectivity (PMC) products. The SDETwill be working on the next generation bedside Patient Monitoring devices. This position requires a deepunderstanding of product verification testing and the ability to apply those to product development.They will work with other cross-functional members to provide software and product level testing expertise withan emphasis on automation. Requirements Required . Degree in in Engineering (Computer, Software, Electrical), Computer Science or other related Engineering discipline . 10+ years of experience in software testing or development, with increasing levels of responsibility leading to technical leadership. . Strong systems background with knowledge of testing distributed systems, software, and hardware. . 3+ years of experience in building test automation infrastructure (Architecture/Design) . 5+ years of experience in programming in PowerShell scripts, Python scripts and other scripts as needed to automate processes. . 3+ years of software development experience in one of the high-level programming languages - C#/C++/Java . Expert knowledge in test automation tools for o desktop apps (must have) o embedded (must have) o web apps (nice to have) . Experience with Unix, Linux, Ubuntu . Experience working in an agile development environment. . Strong understanding of integration, verification and validation testing techniques, including continuous integration and white-box, black-box, test coverage, reliability, and regression testing . Experience in the participation in Software Development Lifecycle phases . Excellent communicator - written documentation and oral presentations/ discussions/ meetings Preferred, nice to have . Experience with medical device FDA Quality Systems Regulations (QSR) and medical device standards strongly preferred. . Qt/Squish experience strongly preferred. . Experience with Yocto Project embedded Linux. . Azure DevOps Rest API, Selenium, Squish, Kibana and Elastic Search experience . Experience with Docker Environments and Docker Swarms. Job Responsibilities . Responsible for implementing, building, and maintaining Software Test Automation architecture in a regulated medical device development environment. . Provide technical and process leadership to project teams to plan and execute automated testing. . Design/ build test automation framework, harnesses, and code libraries to enable the project teams to use and enhance them across successive projects, thereby improving automation development quality, reusability, efficiency, and team productivity. . Mentor technical team members on automation processes. . Perform system and software requirements review to ensure requirements are measurable and testable. . Participate in reviews of systems and elements under development to ensure traceability of requirements compliance through verification. . Develop test plans and test procedures for all components at module, system and integration levels . Effectively communicates verbally and in writing across multiple Global functions and levels of the organization. . Define and publish key performance metrics for automated tests. . Work with cross functional teams and be familiar with business vision and requirements. . Organized, on-time, and detailed project leadership skills. . Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration to ensure product requirements are measurable, testable and meet a high-quality standard for delivering robust products. . Assist in the validation of internal software tools for test purposes.
