For more information, visit, .Job Summary:The Customs Classification Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of customs classification specialists to ensure accurate and compliant classification of products according to international customs regulations. This role involves leading the team in analyzing product specifications, determining appropriate Harmonized System (HS) codes, and ensuring that all classifications adhere to local and international trade laws. The Team Lead will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, compliance, and supply chain, to support efficient import and export operations.Key Responsibilities:1. Team Leadership:- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of customs classification specialists.- Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide feedback to team members.- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.2. Customs Classification:- Oversee the classification of products using the Harmonized System (HS) codes.- Review and approve classifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.- Resolve complex classification issues and provide guidance on ambiguous cases.3. Compliance:- Ensure that all classifications comply with local and international customs regulations.- Stay updated on changes in trade laws and customs regulations, and implement necessary adjustments within the team.- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory concerns.4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Work closely with logistics, supply chain, and compliance teams to support seamless import and export operations.- Serve as the primary point of contact for customs classification-related inquiries within the organization.- Liaise with external customs authorities and brokers as needed.5.
