Northern Trust is looking for a Oracle PL SQL Lead Engineer to join the Wealth management Investments team to work on existing complex projects under Investment domain and also work on modernization of legacy applications




This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for analysis, design and development of user interface and web services components that meet business and technical requirements.




Major Duties
• Design and develop user interface components based on screen design documents that fit within technical framework as outlined by technical architects
• Ensure code meets standards and tested appropriate to the platform
• Provide technical guidance to the development team
• Communicate status (written and verbal) to project team and management

Knowledge/Skills
• Agile Methodology
• Knowledge of user interface frameworks, Java, Application servers
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• A positive goal orientated attitude with a focus on delivery

Required Skills:
• Minimum of 10 years professional experience in Software Development using emerging and modern technology platforms.
• Experience working on applications that involve Oracle PL/SQL and Unix.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and associated database concepts.
• Familiarity with more than one of the following technologies: MS SQL, ETL frameworks like DataStage, Azure cloud fundamentals, Teradata, .NET/Java
• Knowledge of agile development practices and associated disciplines such as CI/CD, GitHub, Azure Pipelines
• Knowledge with visualization tools like Incorta, PowerBI and Tableau,
• Knowledge of security frameworks and controls
• Financial /Wealth Management domain knowledge is a huge plus.

Will add value having one or more of these skills (not required though):
• Datastage skills
• Azure experience
• Teradeta experience
• .NET/Java development experience

Experience
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Overall 9+ Years of Industry experience
• Experience in agile development methodology
• Experience as Lead
