Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.Boeing India Private Limited is currently looking for Lead Supplier Maintenance Support Engineer to join our team in Chennai, IND.As a Supplier Maintenance Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and quality of aviation systems by overseeing and validating maintenance and repair support provided by suppliers. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough reviews, both in-office and on-site, to validate that supplier engineering data adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for engaging with customers to address any issues related to supplier support, ensuring a seamless resolution process.Position Responsibilities:

  • Assess, approve, and perform regular audits of supplier-provided component maintenance publications to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Investigate and address customer inquiries and concerns related to component maintenance and supplier documentation, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Provide expert technical guidance, training, and mentorship to suppliers and new team members on component maintenance requirements, best practices, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and customer support, as well as with suppliers, to address and resolve maintenance-related issues, develop, assess, and optimize maintenance and repair procedures, and ensure clear communication of requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct on-site technical validations of supplier-provided maintenance procedures and documentation, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, compliance with engineering requirements, system integrity, functionality, and adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Utilize engineering analysis techniques to scrutinize maintenance data and service reports, identify technical inconsistencies, deviations, potential failure modes, and propose engineering solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to suppliers, offering engineering guidance, expertise, and recommendations to optimize maintenance and repair methodologies, resolve technical challenges, and enhance system performance.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal processes, standards, and robust quality assurance processes related to component maintenance and supplier documentation, incorporating engineering principles and methodologies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • A four-year Bachelor's Degree or higher is required as a Basic Qualification.
  • 13+ years of supply chain, business operations, technical/aviation support role or engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (supply chain, business operations, technical/aviation support role or engineering).
  • 9+ years of experience as an engineer in a customer support role to an airline customer or supplier.
  • 9+ years of experience supporting maintenance of aircraft or aircraft parts.
Typical Education & Experience:
  • A four-year Bachelor's Degree with 13 Years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters + 12 years of experience)
