MARSH & MCLENNAN GLOBAL SERVICES - GUY CARPENTER Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mumbai office: Lead Specialist. - CAT Modelling What can you expect A data-intensive position, which requires you to help clients better, understand their overall exposure to catastrophe risk and allow them to plan accordingly. By analysing client exposure data and applying it against catastrophe models, they produce loss estimates that enable brokers to construct effective reinsurance programs for clients The role will support GC Catastrophe Modelling teams in the APAC regions. Good experience in applying the policy conditions and reinsurance terms. Run the exposure in various Cat Modelling models and reporting the results at various geographical resolutions as well as for the relevant lines of business within the client\'s portfolio. Ability to interpret the change in loss results due to modelling parameters and client exposure change Analysing how the distribution of results and relevant risk measures change due to the application of various proposed reinsurance alternatives and/or changes in model/data assumptions. Work on ad hoc projects as and when required Maintain a regular positive feedback from stakeholder Proactive interaction with stakeholders on modelling requirements and adhoc requests Provide insights and process improvement ideas to enhance the efficiency of the process Contribute 20% of the time on CAT R&D projects What you need to have: 5+ years of experience in Catastrophe Modelling in providing CAT analytics at account or portfolio level. Experience in Data Analytics/Insurance/Reinsurance/Modelling firms Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer-Science/Engineering (any stream) or related fields Proficiency in at least one of the CAT Modeling software\'s RMS/ AIR/ RQE. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Attention to details. Ability to understand and manipulate data quickly and creatively.
