Job Title: Lead - Software Engineering

The Purpose of This Role


As a Lead Cloud Engineer in Architecture Technology Foundation - Cloud Product Line of AM Tech India you will play an important role in integrating cloud-hosted solutions for Asset Management. The ideal candidate must be a solid team player with a strong understanding of the application delivery cycle: design, development, build, and deployment.


The candidate will play an important role in developing integrated cloud-hosted solutions, working on one of our Cloud Platform Products, DB Deployment Pipelines, and DB Services.

• As a Lead Engineer with expertise and experience in developing applications including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process.
• Consistently making culture choices that positively impact all of engineering. Engineering excellence is a collective set of choices we make as technologists, whether to increase code coverage or ship a product, investing in developer productivity vs saving $$$.

You demonstrate a test-driven approach to developing software, can build or contribute to automated testing frameworks that can detect any anomalies in functionality, performance, and integration. • You enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment. We work within close confines of our product owners, operations in a collaborative open space environment.

Create, construct, and support the technology platforms and solutions that allow business partners to succeed in their markets. Serve as the client's main point of contact, interpret their needs, and ensure that teams deliver successfully. Approach projects with a strategic mindset and negotiates with clients to realize a technical vision.

The Expertise we are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Certifications preferred: Kubernetes Application Developer, Kubernetes Security Specialist, AWS Solutions Architect.
• Passion for excellence, automation, innovation and collaboration.
• Eager to learn new technologies, ways of working, and to adapt every day.
• Bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, injecting new points of view to the team
• Ability to triage, execute root cause analysis, and be decisive under pressure.
• Ability to creatively solve new, interesting problems in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships.
• Proven ability to work across organizations, building consensus and driving consistency.
• Track record of leading, delivering and maintaining complex technology solutions.
• Ability to act confidently and cautiously in break-the-glass production scenarios to resolve customer outages.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications using a public cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Proven understanding/experience of cloud networking, virtualization, storage, containers, serverless architecture/framework, cloud IAM controls and policies.
• Experience with architecting and developing applications by applying design patterns.
• Proficient in object-oriented Python REST API development.
• Experience managing systems using infrastructure as code tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform, ARM, ...)
• Experience with container orchestration, Helm charts and Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Experience working with database technologies (Oracle/PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
• Experience working with database virtualization products like Delphix and database replication using Oracle Goldengate.
• Understanding of versioning and release practices (SCM), code collaboration practices (Git) .
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
• Experience with Enterprise IT asset management or other related practices.
• Experience defining and executing a comprehensive cloud reliability and observability strategy, ensuring that cloud systems are always available when needed.
• Ability to solve stack-wide engineering issues related to hardware, software, network, applications and cloud service providers.
• Good learning aptitude. Willingness to learn new technologies swiftly
• Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and adaptability
• Provide on-call / level 3 support for infrastructure incidents and alerts

Shift timings : 11:00 pm - 8:00pm
