Boeing ecommerce team is currently looking to hire Lead Software Engineer for Boeing India Engineering (BIE) Software to join their team in Bengaluru, India . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) IT organization. The selected individual will work in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, India. As a Lead Software Engineer , the selected individual will work with the Boeing India teams and its partners and stakeholders to develop, maintain and improve the ecommerce applications. Position Responsibilities: As a Lead Software Engineer, the selected individual will work in the BIETC Boeing Global Services (BGS) engineering team to develop, maintain and improve Aviation software products. Evaluate customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system network functional and performance requirements. Perform analyses and trade studies to optimize total secure system network architecture, design and configurations. The selected individual will maintain and improve application software for providing training solution related to different aircraft component and aircraft maintenance. Performing and leading complex analysis to optimize total system and/or system architecture to solve complex maintenance training problems. The position involves aligning / integrating / streamlining a range of product support, maintenance and enhancement requirements and will drive technology leadership for critical design considerations and drive future integrated product roadmap. The selected individual will maintain and improve application software related to aircraft and air traffic management and potentially integrate with other products to provide a world-class modeling and simulation tool suite for Boeing customers globally. The selected individual will work in close cooperation - actively aligns the technical roadmap, APIs and Interaction Design, with teams based in international locations. The selected individual will be responsible to create and maintain necessary software design and architecture documentation. Leads activities to develop, document and maintain system requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Experience writing software system specifications, algorithm description documents, command/telemetry requirements, logical interface requirements and software requirements. Support stakeholder needs through analysis, requirements analysis, and allocation & definition for subcontractors, utilizing Cameo, JIRA and Confluence. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master , Doctorate, or equivalent degree preferably in Computer Science, Avionics or Engineering 12+ years of experience with last 3 years or more of experience in systems engineering. Having exposure with programming languages (C++, VC++ [MFC], C#,NET 4.0, Visual Studio IDE, Visual Basic .Net) Aviation domain and Private Pilot License (PPL) holder will be preferred. Aircraft maintenance experienced will be preferred. Experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and trade studies. Experience with hardware / software integration. Experience in development, build and test of avionics software product Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer-term impacts Ability to understand and infer business and user requirements, design and critical thinking, problem solving techniques, work in fast paced environment, etc Having experience in the Avionics Domain with evidence of a thorough understanding of requirements to solve problems and actively participates in software development is an added advantage. Experience and knowledge in modeling and simulation is an added advantage. It would be good to have experience in developing functional requirements specification and hands-on experience using simulation model development tools. Passion for avionics and software development. Collaborate effectively with a team of engineers, QA, Build, UI, Doc, and Project Management. Understanding of Scrum/Agile development. Extensive experience in collaborating within an Agile team setting, working as a group to drive Epic/Feature/Story creation as well as solution design and architecture. Typical Education & Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor\'s and 12 to 18years\' experience, Master\'s degree with 11+ years\' experience. Bachelor, master or doctorate of science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Excellent working knowledge of the entire software development life-cycle.
