As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the DATA MANAGEMENT team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor the organization with practical examples, hands-on workshops and papers.
• Work with customers to provide in-depth technology solutions to their business problems.
• Solving the companies most challenging cloud problems by building cloud data solutions
• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages; Java, Python, SQL, or Scala
• Knowledge in Snowflake Database Architecture and Administration
• Experience or knowledge in Spark leveraging Python, java or Scala, terraform
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade cloud solutions in Cloud ecosystems such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud out
• Hand-on experience in AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS KMS. AWS S3, EMR, Athena, Redshift and Lake Formation
• Experience or knowledge in Spark leveraging Python, java or Scala, terraform

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience working on NoSQL Databases such as Cassandra, HBase, DynamoDB , and Elastic Search
• Exposure to RESTful API development
• Experience or knowledge in Kubernetes
• Hand-on technical experience with web Scalability - High availability architecture - load balancing, scale out
