• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.

UBS RecruitingYour teamIn our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You\'ll be working in the WM Tech - India Crew in Mumbai - part of WM Tech APAC Stream, focusing on delivering solutions for WM India Business.Your expertise

• bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science or equivalent focusing on Software Engineering.
• min 15 years of work experience in Banking or Financial Services domain.
• proven experience as a technical lead / architect or similar role in End-to-end software Development & Delivery
• strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, software architecture principles, Design patterns & best practices
• hands on expertise in designing, provisioning & implementing the tech stack and components such as Apache http, Tomcat, IBM MQ etc.
• expertise in Java, JSP, Oracle RDBMS, Data Modelling, SQL, Scripting etc.
• knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Test automation etc.
• experience in Researching & evaluating new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the capabilities and performance of the applications.
• ability to work effectively in a fast paces env and manage multiple priorities.
• genuine interest in achieving Engineering excellence and improving technological capability of the team & the bank.
• excellent problem-solving skills & the ability to communicate effectively with both tech and non tech stakeholders.
