Boeing India Engineering is looking for Lead Software Engineer to design software for the next generation avionics system. the candidate will be responsible for the designing the building blocks for the avionics systems. Your primary role will be to define the software requirements, perform trade studies, and evaluate alternate designs to propose the most optimal software solutions for future avionics systems. Software Architects will apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to design, develop and verify next generation software for avionics systems. The candidate will perform various analyses to optimize software architecture addressing safety, reliability, maintainability, human systems integration, system security, regulatory and certification needs. Position Responsibilities: Designing the building blocks for the avionics systems. Define High Level and Low-Level Software requirements. Derive / Define software specifications from industry standards, aircraft level requirements, concept specifications, and trade studies Perform trade studies, and evaluate alternate designs to propose the most optimal software solutions for future avionics systems. Coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world. Estimate Code, test software development effort. Ensure SW architecture and Design is per the Software requirements. Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to design, develop and verify next generation software for avionics systems. Perform peer review on System and Software Requirements, Design and Test. Support SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews), CDR (Critical Design Reviews), TRR (Test Readiness Review) and Formal Qualification. Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data. Be a great teammate in the agile team. Should possess excellent communications skills to participate in Requirement/Design/Code/Test reviews, have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability and maintainability, and enjoy a dedicated and collaborative development approach.
