The SAP ABAP developer serves as the go to person for complex development needs and provides development support for production issues, change requests, RICEF development and projects. The Ideal candidate will be a key technical contributor and act as an advisor for teams leads and mangers. This position will report to Manager SAP ABAP and will be based at our Bangalore office 2.0 Principle Duties and Responsibilities Works on SAP ABAP RICEF (Reports, Interface, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms) development. Provide oversight, analysis, and evaluation for all aspects necessary to plan, design and deliver SAP custom development and integration solution utilizing CELEROS Development and Quality standards and best practices. Follows CELEROS development and quality standards and processes. Designs and develops fool-proof and high-quality custom SAP and integration solutions. Creates technical specifications and technical documentation. Should be able to mentor junior resources if needed. Performs peer code reviews and provide feedback to team lead and manager. Performs and help other developers perform unit and integration testing of development objects. Prioritize own tasks to ensure optimum utilization and fast turnaround for development requests. Provide status updates to the team lead and manager(s). Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement efforts. Working closely with functional teams to provide technical guidance. Any functional experience would be a great asset. Able to manage complex requirements and work with the functional leads and developers to deliver solutions. Able to multi-task and work extended hours/weekend when needed. Able to troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide fast resolutions. 3.0 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 5+ years of experience in offshore ABAP development team. 5+ years of experience supporting SAP internal users/clients based in Europe and North America. Mastery development quality tools and processes, code inspector, performance trace, ABAP debugger, RFC trace, and ABAP 7.4/7.5 language features. Knowledge and hands-on experience of developing solutions for SAP functional areas of SD, MM, PS, PP, FI & CO. Hands on experience with development of SAPScript, SmartForms, Adobe forms, ALV reports, Workflow, Interfaces, LSMW, Enhancements, and other ABAP developments. Knowledge and experience of implementing SAP integration solutions using IDocs, ALE, RFCs, BAPIs and other 3rd party integration solutions including integration with Microsoft technologies using .net connector. Experience with implementing SAP integration scenarios using WebMethods is desirable. Strong personal motivation, excellent work ethic and positive, team-oriented mindset. Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy. Should be able to work as a team member or as an individual contributor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well versed with architecture and functionality of SAP NetWeaver and other related SAP products/solutions. 4.0 Mandatory Education and Certification B. Tech/ B.E/ MCA in regular course from recognized university and institute in India. 8-13 years of demonstrated mastery of design, development and implementation of SAP ABAP technical development and integration solutions. Experience in supporting manufacturing clients is added advantage Have participated in at least 3 full lifecycle SAP project.
