Department Overview: Finance Analytics and Consulting Team (FACT) team mainly focuses on building financial forecasting and valuation based on predefined cohorts and also works on impact assessment for various business strategies for marketing, risk and product team. The team is heavily engaged on actual performance tracking and evaluating which segments are working best to bring up the desired revenue and thus helping the business to reach its goal. Balance sheet or P&L of the products are one of the top priorities. The key products are Consumer Credit Cards, Business Cards, Personal Loan. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant which is an individual contributor role within Finance Analytics and Consulting team (FACT) with 9-12 years of experience in financial analytics domain, primarily with Credit Cards and Loan products. Individual in this role will support FACT through development and management of complex datamarts, data analysis, drawing insights from raw data, developing dashboard, process documentation and automation. The ideal candidate will be able to partner with the US team and India team to identify opportunities to optimize the existing process and work to identify and mitigate the portfolio risk through analyzing data, report and recommend business insights. Additionally, should be able to determine business requirements for complex analysis, which will identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvements to business performance and process as well as identify and monitor risk. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage the analysis to get management buy-in and approval and then execute support activities to guide recommendations into action. In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics. Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported. Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line. Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals. Lead projects, teams, and mentor Responsible for identifying business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex analyses and data structure and provide the FACT team members with all the data related support. Business Card valuation analytics in areas in new product cohort update /marketing campaign financials /portfolio risk strategy financials Business card ad hoc analytics related to new product launch performance monitoring and reporting, assist with line assignment test tracking. Card Proforma model parameters /unit cost updateand analysis Deep dive into data and identify cause for variation in trends of key financial metric in monthly reports/dashboard/datamart. Develop and maintain monthly reports, analyze and highlight any data anomaly. Provide analytical support for designing, testing, evaluating, implementing, measuring, monitoring and managing business / finance models and strategies across acquisitions and account management using Python, SAS, UNIX, Excel based tools within consumer and commercial Business / finance verticals. Identifies business requirements and analytical needs identifies and recommends potential data sources compiles and mines data from multiple, cross business sources. Responds to requests for specific, customized ad hoc data request or data analysis. Work with other analysts and directly with partners, responsible for identifying and defining business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex analyses and solutions. Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured and from multiple sources. Should be able to build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization. Drive customer satisfaction by cultivating awareness of each partner\'s need, offerings, and products to suit business objective. Take lead on projects and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Be a team and technical lead for the team and provide thought leadership on the projects, driving new ideas and identify opportunities. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Around 8+ years in similar financial analytics role with hands on experience working on Credit Cards and Loans products for US market, requires strong domain knowledge on credit cards and loans. Minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience in analytics projects with knowledge of financial analysis, financial modeling, reporting, knowledge of financial policies and regulations for USA market. Under graduate or post graduate degree in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis. 4 years advanced programming experience in Python, SAS/ SQL and SAS macros with hands on experience working independently and delivering end to end automation project. Persuasive written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment. Detail oriented, results driven, and has the ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities. Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills.
