n PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Lead Privacy Counsel will play a critical role in driving effective data privacy and protection initiatives to support best in class experiences, programs and products in alignment with Schneider Electric Trust Charter and will:\xc2\xb7 Build, maintain and continuously improve the Group\xe2\x80\x99s data privacy and protection compliance at global level\xc2\xb7 Support the Group on compliance with data privacy and protection rules in Asian MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESGlobal and central activities:\xc2\xb7 Support the development and implementation of data privacy and protection compliance steps, policies, guidelines, procedures, tools and templates;\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with data protection requirements, Schneider Electric BCR and company policies ;\xc2\xb7 Lead or support transversal data privacy and protection activities and initiatives, e.g.:o M&A and integrationso Contractso Training & awarenesso Data localization and data transferso Knowledge baseRegional activities - Asia:\xc2\xb7 Act as point of contact on Data Privacy & Protection matters in Asia;\xc2\xb7 Perform legal watch and support government affairs activities and implementation of new laws;\xc2\xb7 Fostering a data protection culture within the Company and conducting data protection trainings;\xc2\xb7 Maintain and Manage a network of Privacy Contacts in the region;\xc2\xb7 Roll out of the Group data privacy and protection policies and program;\xc2\xb7 Support assessment of internal applications and products and services offerings, including in DPIA;\xc2\xb7 Support the management of privacy incidents: process, incident response and investigation, data breach notification;\xc2\xb7 Support country data privacy and compliance programs;\xc2\xb7 Support response to law enforcement and regulators;\xc2\xb7 Support response to IRR and claims;\xc2\xb7 Organize audits or assist on audits organized by other teams.n RELATIONS\xc2\xa7 Close collaboration with Legal, CyberSecurity, IT/Schneider Digital, Procurement Internal Audit & Internal Control\xc2\xa7 Business leaders in all functions\xc2\xa7 Potentially any employee asking for support\xc2\xa7 External stakeholders (Auditors, Supervisory Authorities, professional networks, Customers, Suppliers)n SCOPE OF WORK\xc2\xa7 Global and transversal activities \xe2\x80\x93 all organizations & functions\xc2\xa7 Asian POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION\xc2\xa7 Reports to the Group Data Protection Officer\xc2\xa7 Member of the Group DPO Office team\xc2\xa7 Member of the Data & Performance Organization / GovernanceQualificationsn QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS\xc2\xa7 Integrity mind-set\xc2\xa7 Experience 7+ in data protection compliance and strategy within a technology company, a law firm, a consultancy firm or a data protection authority in Asian countries (China, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam)\xc2\xa7 Experience in rolling out data protection programs and policy drafting\xc2\xa7 Experience in data breach management\xc2\xa7 Experience in audits, DPIAs and M&A transactions\xc2\xa7 Relevant education or external accreditation in the areas of law, data protection, security, audit, quality or risk management\xc2\xa7 Technical background or experience in dealing with IT and security matters\xc2\xa7 Skills: high-energy, positive, level of integrity & tenacity & team spirit. Technology driven. Good communication skills in multi-cultural environment. Good ability to network in various environments & matrix organization. Languages: fluent in English (written and spoken)\xc2\xa7 Ability to translate legal advice into actionable guidance for operational teams\xc2\xa7 Ability to travel (moderate)
