Job Description

A system expert with deep relevant experience in designing power supplies within a large global matrix organization. You will drive system definition along the GaN Business Line key applications, within the new GaN HV Product Line, with a special focus on Charger & Adapter, and more generally consumer and industrial products; as well as steer the iGaN product roadmap.

In your new role you will:


• As a system expert you willcontribute and drive system definition along GaN HV key applications.
• Act as senior Product Definition Engineer ; le ad right-fit product requirements, target datasheet and technical interface to R&D and customers in creation phase.
• As technical team lead you will be leading , guiding and mentoring a team and also be responsible for defining new products.
• You are expected to drive the product development from concept to production analyze the competitive environment to feature-set definition and the implementation, system simulation and emulation of the product .
• Help define system partition with Verilog/RTL coding and pre-tape out and post-tape out activities and as well as testing.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, contribute and steer GaN product roadmap, Identify gaps for IP, technology, package, etc.
• Support and guide System Application Engineer & Product Application Engineer for system concept and product verification and design collaterals including reference designs, models and design tools.
• Drive regional technical go to market activities.
• Act as a Senior Concept Engineer and Senior Designer across the entire development flow; reviewing product's feasibility validation and architecture, design implementation and supporting other development activities ; component verification, characterization, product test.


You are best equipped for this task if you have:


• A degree in electrical engineering , or similar.
• At least 15 years of work experience in the power semiconductor industry, working on GaN is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in using simulation tools: Simplis/Simetrix, PLECS, Spice, Matlab, Mathcad, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in using FPGA emulation platform for new product development: Verilog/RTL proficiency is highly appreciated, Python scripting for circuit/system verification is a plus.
• Leadership and coordination skills to steer cross functional and cross organizational teams as well as external partners.
• Excellent team collaboration skills.
• Self-Motivated and result oriented, team player with proactive mindset and good interpersonal skills.
• Timely decision making.
