Reporting to : Vice President
Job Summary: The position will be responsible to oversee HR statutory compliances and legal matters across all manufacturing sites in India. The role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits and providing training to HR staff and management.
Areas of Responsibility:
• Legal reviews :
• Review all legal cases across locations, provide guidance to local teams, identify corrective measures to prevent similar matters in future and proliferation of the same across all locations
• Develop strategies in collaborations with HRBPs and Site HR Teams to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary and represent the organizations in legal proceedings as required
• HR Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations across all locations
• Conduct / Organize regular audits to assess gaps in compliance and identify areas of improvement
• Provide training and guidance to HR teams for any new statutory law/compliance requirement
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential legal and compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Work closely with management to close any legal or compliance issue proactively
• Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the sector and adjust policies accordingly
• Policy development and deployment :
• Create and implement necessary HR compliancepolicies and procedures .
• Ensure all compliance policies are communicated effectively to necessary parties .
• Provide training to HR team and Management on labour compliance issues .
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Law/ Masters in HR
Skills: In depth knowledge of labour laws, HR Compliance, nuances across various states, Analytical, problem solving skills, collaboration with multiple stakeholders
Experience:
• Proven track record of handling legal and HR compliance roles with reputed organizations in manufacturing sector
• More than 15 years of experience is preferred
