We are looking for an IT Asset Management Lead to join our global IT Workplace Operations Team, reporting to the Director of IT Workplace Services. . The role will oversee and manage Clarivates IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes planning, procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets such as hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources.Key requisites include strategic thinking aligning asset management with business goals, analytical decision-making skills, and project management proficiency for complex asset projects. Procurement expertise to ensure cost-effective acquisitions, with technical proficiency encompassing an understanding of diverse IT assets. Effective communication and compliance management are vital for collaboration and navigating licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
  • Master's/bachelors degree from an accredited college or university focusing on Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT Asset lifecycle management roles, with at least 7 years of experience managing assets in multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of end-user computing hardware and lifecycle management.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting and cost optimization.

  • Experience with ServiceNow implementations or equivalent Asset inventory systems.
What will you be doing in this role?
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources.
  • Coordinate acquiring new IT assets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, budget constraints adherence, and licensing agreements compliance.
  • Ensure the proper installation, configuration, and deployment of IT assets to meet the organization's needs while adhering to security and compliance standards.
  • Implement systems and processes to track IT asset usage, performance, and location.
  • Monitor and report on hardware and software utilization to identify optimization opportunities and Schedule and oversee regular maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance of IT assets.
  • Plan and manage hardware and software upgrades or replacements as needed and Monitor software license compliance and ensure the organization adheres to licensing agreements.
  • Optimize software license usage to minimize costs while meeting business needs and Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce security policies related to IT assets.
  • Negotiate favourable contracts with vendors to optimize costs related to IT assets and Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in IT asset management processes.
  • Develop and implement processes for the secure and environmentally responsible disposal of obsolete or retired IT assets.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and environmental regulations during disposal.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT assets, including configurations, licenses, and warranties and Provide regular reports to stakeholders on asset status, usage, compliance, and financial aspects.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure timely and efficient procurement, support, and resolution of issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve IT asset management processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct training sessions for IT staff to raise awareness about IT asset management policies and best practices and Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and licensing agreements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT assets, including security vulnerabilities, compliance issues, and financial risks.
About the Team APAC Workplace Services function with team members based across multiple geographies in APAC and India. The team comprises 20 Members and reports to the Director of IT Workplace Services. Hours of Work
