Often these are the applications that are \xe2\x80\x9cstuck\xe2\x80\x9d in the datacenter and need to be either exited as part of an organization\xe2\x80\x99s overall Cloud strategy, or the customer wishes to look for an alternative to an on-premises solution. We provide a Cloud Service built on Microsoft Azure that supports these workloads. Skytap is the only Cloud that provides ISVs with a self-service on-demand Cloud-based solution for ISVs that span both Power and x86 workloads.We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer, with AIX experience, to support our Service Delivery team that focuses on customer solutions moving to Skytap on Azure. This role will also include some Technical Account Management responsibilities on strategic engagements.Your Future at Kyndryl
As an IT/Cloud Consultant at Kyndryl you will join the Kyndryl Consultant Profession, working with other Kyndryl Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and cross-functional Technical Subject Matter Experts \xe2\x80\x93 presenting unlimited opportunities with unmatched support through our investment in your learning, training, and career growth.Your Responsibilities:Cloud Solutions Engineer:Perform and support migration of customer Power systems to Microsoft Azure or IBM Cloud.Implement / perform AIX data restoration and / or replication strategies via PowerHA, MIMIX for AIX, GoldenGate, RMAN, Commvault, mksysb and savevg, NIM.Work closely with Skytap\xe2\x80\x99s field teams, Product Management, and Architect teams to grow the Skytap solution.Write technical documentation.Drive the technical enablement of your team members, other teams, and our partners.Technical Account Manager:Work with the broader Customer Success team to maintain customer health as measured by the customer scorecardInteract with our customers to understand their technical business needs, drive increased usage and remove technical barriers for adoptionDevelop a technical roadmap for the customer that delivers on the business value expectations of the customer based on their investmentWork hands on with their Engineering and Service Delivery teams to identify and debug application issuesCreate and deliver periodic reviews of operational performance to customer and internal leadershipMake recommendations on how best to operate and take advantage of the Skytap Cloud offeringMake our customers successful!Who You AreYour Skills:Extensive experience with the AIX Operating SystemDeep understanding of IBM Power Systems architecture including:IBM Power Servers such as S and E-Class systemsIBM Storage Systems and ArchitectureDeep understanding of AIX HA and backup technologies such asPowerHAMIMIX for AIXApplication level based replication technologies such as GoldenGate and RMANAIX disaster recovery solutions such as CommvaultNative backup and recovery such as mksysb and savevgNIMCore understanding of networking including TCP/IP, VPN, advanced local routing, BGPUnderstanding of Windows and Linux Operating SystemsAbility to automate common tasks in Windows and Linux with an understanding of REST based APIs. Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and other common automation frameworks is highly recommended.Experience with Cloud networking technologies such as ExpressRoute is recommendedKnowledge of Cloud-based solutions that are architected to the provider\xe2\x80\x99s Cloud adoption framework with an appropriate landing zone is recommendedExperience in envisioning new solutions and defending complex architecturesAbility to write technical documentation.Ability to multitask.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Strong executive presence and proven experience presenting to executives at all levels.Other Requirements:Must be passionate about customer success.Deep understanding of SAP ECC on AIX.
