### Role description


The primary objective of the QA Lead is to lead the QA efforts of one or more products as well as manage technical risks throughout the project. The QA Lead is responsible to establish the QA processes within the team. QA Lead should mentor and supervise the QA analysts in the team. The individual will be working in a distributed project team between onsite and offshore. The individual must keep his/her manager well informed of QA status at regular intervals. Responsibilities: o Analyse product test requirements. o Design and develop test plans, test cases and test framework using automation tools like Cucumber, Selenium etc. o Perform functional, regression testing, support UAT, Pre-Go Live & Go-Live testing. o Provide expert support and guidance in niche areas of performance, stress, usability testing and test automation. o Review and provide feedback on test cases created by team members. o Conduct testing on all software products for applicable OS platforms utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures. o Mentor test analysts and senior test analysts on testing related activities. o Supervise test analysts and senior test analysts on testing related activities. o Coordinate with offshore (India) teams. o Coordinate with the Development teams, managers and Business teams during the different phases of application development. o Ability to drive multiple project activities including delivery of test strategy, test plan, and test status. Closely track test execution meeting project plans. o Responsible for designing and implementing supporting processes and tools that drive effective test automation delivery (source code mgmt, code review, etc.) o Drive automation as a shared accountability to improvise and increase automation usage in projects. o Responsible for test automation framework design across the enterprise application suite that maximizes maintainability and speed of execution. Qualifications & Skills o Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent. o CSTM/CSQA or equivalent certification desirable o Scrum-Agile certification desirable. o Experience in Maven, Jenkins, Groovy Scripts, REST_Assured o Good understanding of Agile-Scrum processes o Must have experience working on an onsite-offshore software development team. o Proven ability to design and implement test automation frameworks for intricate applications such as Point of Sale, without relying on physical hardware components. o Extensive experience in Python, Java, and Selenium scripting, with a strong foundation in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks like Cucumber, and familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies. o Experience in managing the technologies that support effective test automation: Integrated Development Environments, Continuous Integration tools, Source Code Management tools, REST and SOAP services, Database technologies and SQL. o Experience in test management with SPIRA Plan/HP ALM / Quality Center, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools. o Should have good exposure to test automation, latest automation tools and methodologies. o End to End testing exposure of Core banking product application. o Core Banking experience The successful candidate should demonstrate innovation, constant learning, self-motivation and effective team participation. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. The candidate should demonstrate a willingness to share knowledge, excellent listening skills and strong analytical skills. The candidate must be able to work effectively under project and daily deadlines.
