Role description

Role Proficiency:

Additional Comments:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Applications DBA with strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Oracle EBS environments, as well as ensuring high availability and performance. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environments. Administer and maintain Oracle Applications database and application tiers. Patch management, including Oracle CPU and EBS patches. Perform regular backups, cloning, and recovery operations using RMAN and other tools. Monitor system performance and implement tuning improvements. Maintain and troubleshoot Oracle Forms, Concurrent Managers, Workflow, OAF, and WebLogic Server components. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and functional teams to support project implementations and upgrades. Implement and maintain security controls, including user and role management. Perform cloning of production environments to development/test instances. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA. Strong experience with Oracle EBS R12 (12.1.x / 12.2.x). Solid understanding of Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c), RAC, and ASM. Experience with ADOP (Online Patching) in R12.2.x environments. Hands-on experience with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager). Knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and scripting (Shell/Perl/Python is a plus). Familiarity with SOA, WebLogic Server, and other middleware components used in Oracle EBS. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) in DBA or EBS. Exposure to cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure). Experience with Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, and other HA/DR technologies. Prior involvement in EBS upgrades (e.g., 11i to R12, R12.1 to R12.2).
