Overview:

The Collins Aerospace, Information Management Solutions, Central engineering team provides Cloud Solutions to cater One Collins Data Ecosystem where data is managed in a standardized way utilizing common tools and processes.

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, work on the current and next generations of Central engineering projects. In this exciting role, you will engage with the wider teams to understand the technologies and solutions our customers need. Working with your peers and leaders you will assist in estimating work, planning and developing our solutions. As part of our commitment to engineering excellence you will help share continuous improvement concepts to enable to us to identify new and improved ways of delivering high quality solutions to our customer products.

Primary Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise with AWS and its services Hands-on experience in cloud/AWS - Migrations/Implementations/Deployment. Security Systems knowledge is important - Operating system handling Cloudformation Scripting Experience in JSON, YAML, Windows Powershell, Unix Shell Scripting. Documentation skills are a must.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree minimum 3 years of experience in AWS system administration

Preferred Qualifications:

Works as a member of a team to identify, solution, and deliver infrastructure services to internal customers who deliver applications to end users

- Works as a member of a team to provide proactive and responsive customer support to infrastructure services/solutions deployed by and owned by the team.

- Works with the team to identify and drive a "team" architecture roadmap meant to transform us to providing infrastructure as a service/code utilizing on-perm and cloud technologies.

- Root cause analysis on applications and server outages.

- Application and server performance monitoring solutions.

- Develops and maintains technical documentation and proposals.

- Working in an Agile environment.

- Familiarity with Jira or other workflow programs.

- Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems.
