The position will require supporting the software verification team. In addition, the assignment may require assisting in other elements of the software/systems engineering process including requirements analysis and capture, software requirements definition, integration, and formal test for requirement verification. The candidate will perform these assignments in conjunction with other software engineers using Collins Aerospace engineering processes. Successful programs depend on teamwork grounded in internal communication as well as direct interaction with the end customer including presentations, technical exchanges, and on-site support.Required Qualifications:Graduation in Engineering/Masters in EngineeringExpertise in Verification and Validation using DO-178C of Avionics SoftwareSoftware development using C/Python/Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow.Knowledge of Avionics SystemsJob responsibilities:Support software engineering team through the execution of planned development/verification activities.Designs, develops, modifies, documents, tests, installs and supports software applications and systems.Ensure software engineering activities are performed to DO-178C standards.Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods.Understand the interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components that interact with the currently developed component.Job Skills & AttributesStrong technical understanding of avionics and resolving the technical dependencies for the team.Technically responsible for project milestones.Strong Matlab/C/Python development knowledgePython(for supporting Verification and validation activities).Experience on Displays products will be an added advantage.Analysis - Demonstrates the ability to provide a general analysis of a problem or situation.Cooperation - Recognizes that individual goals contribute toward accomplishing team outcomes.Dependability - Demonstrates the ability to follow through with work assignments and support management\'s policies and procedures.Detail Orientation - Is able to provide the status of work assignments at any time and can quickly produce any documentation or information that is needed.Judgment - Demonstrates the ability to base decisions on factual information and sound logic.Listening - Exhibits good listening skills and identifies verbal and non-verbal situations fairly well.Time Management - Maintains a daily to-do list which helps to prioritize schedule.RTX is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
