Career opportunity with Burckhardt Compression We are looking for Lead Engineer - R&D at factory to strengthen our team at Kondhapuri in Pune Your Involvement R&D team is responsible for the development of new breed of compressors fulfilling the relevant specifications. The function will lead cross functional product development team to achieve milestones as per plan within the specified budget meeting quality standards: Full ownership of development of new breed of compressors having high reliability Torsional & mechanical vibration analysis on rotating equipment to find solution to achieve specified levels of noise & vibrations including anti vibration system Develop alternative designs and testing systems Develop design programmes for compressor parts for dynamic loads Carry HAZOP study / equivalent study for the safe operations of the equipment Carry out analysis of test data and offer recommendations to improve the reliability and performance of the machine Education / Experience BE/B. Tech with Mechanical Engineering with min. 6 - 10 years of relevant experience Knowledge of vibration and noise control, International standard like API, ASME, ASTM, DIN etc. for design, manufacturing & modelling Knowledge of latest technologies and should assimilate technology Fundamental knowledge of compressors, thermodynamics, sizing of compressors Knowledge on auxiliary rotary equipment like pumps, engines & stationary equipment like dryers, coolers is added advantage Language Skills English - should be able to communicate clearly and fluently in English and present presentations Language skill in German would be an added advantage Special Requirements Documentation as per quality standards Product testing, verification and validation of various developed component Vibration measurement & analysis (ABN & SBN) is added benefit Assertive personality with dedication and ownership Performance Indicators (KPIs) This role demands design, development, testing, verification, and validation of various developed components and products.
