Materials Engineering with product development skillset on components portions of Aircraft systems. Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations. Collaborates with cross functional team including the business units in India and USA. Meets program schedules and budgets.
Position: Lead Engineer (P2) - Materials Engineer - Composite
Must have Skillsets: Experience in various composite materials, testing & failure analysis, statistical data analysis. Engineering Change management process, Good Mechanical Technical knowledge and communication skills, Obsolescence knowledge, Stakeholder Communication, Documentation, Project Planning and Risk Management, Good to have: Manufacturing process knowledge, GD and T, Teamcenter. Primary Responsibilities:
• Experience in Polymer Composite Qualification, Certification and Testing.
• Knowledge and Work Experience in the qualification, certification and testing of thermoset/thermoplastic composite materials such as prepregs, fibers, resin/matrix system, cores, adhesives, potting, surface ply.
• In depth knowledge in the reinforced polymer composite materials and manufacturing processes to write engineering specification pertaining to materials and manufacturing processes.
• Well-versed in interpreting project requirements to write Engineering technical documents such as, Test plan, Test report, Test procedure and other technical reports.
• Knowledge and Work Experience on the polymer composite testing in accordance with Industry standards (ASTM/ ISO/EN).
• Knowledge and Work Experience in Statistical Calculations of the material qualification test results.
• Familiarity with international industry standards, such as, AMS, MIL, ASTM, etc., related to materials, processes, and testing.
• Interact with inhouse and outside test laboratories to co-ordinate for testing and reports.
• Collaborate with the global team to communicate project status and challenges to project lead.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 - 5 years of Industry experience with experience in New Product Development / Manufacturing / Sustaining Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science / material Science
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Polymer Composite Qualification, Certification and Testing
