The Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, eCommerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the companyxe2x80x99s business strategy. Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more.:Summary:As a Lead Metadata Engineer, you will play a crucial role in standing up the Enterprise Metadata management platform in our organization. You will bring in your technical knowledge of Data Catalog tools, their features and combine them with your functional knowledge of Data Governance Use cases that are sought after by business to establish a robust Metadata Management platform that's useful, effective, and easy to use. You will be responsible for establishing metadata standards, designing metadata architecture, and work with Data Analysts across the larger Data team. You will also be championing the usage of the platform across various personas like Data Scientists, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Data and Production Support Engineers:RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify metadata requirements and facilitate their integration into business processes
• Design and implement metadata architectures that align with the organization's data management goals
• Install , configure, and operationalize the Data Catalog tool by working with the Product Vendor as well as the internal engineering teams
• Administration of the DG / Data Catalog tool / platform
• Develop Enterprise Business glossary and data dictionaries across domains; Implement governance processes in the tool by collaborating with business partners and ensuring that the Business Glossary stays updated
• Setup metadata scanners to pull technical metadata in an automated way from various data sources; Have ability to customize metadata attributes / configurations as supported by the tool; Explore opportunities to utilize auto-tagging capabilities that the tool may offer
• Develop solutions to create technical and business lineage maps by working with Data Analysts and Business Analysts
• Support integrations with Enterprise applications like ServiceNow and other Data Management tools (MDM, Data Privacy)
• Work with product support team for version upgrades, managing feature requests, bug resolution
• Coach a team of Data Analysts and Data Stewards on how to harvest and curate metadata within the Data Catalog; Conduct workshops for various cross functional teams to socialize the Data Catalog
• Work with the Data Governance team to create training artifacts and instructional materials for users

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
• 8 years of total IT experience
• 5-6 years of Metadata Management Experience while working in a major Data Catalog tool
• Experience in DQ tools would be a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

• Strong understanding of metadata management concepts and Use Cases, data management best practices, and industry relevant concepts
• Familiarity with data integration, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in metadata management tools and platforms; Attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability in lineage stitching, linking business terms and technical attributes
• Strong concepts in metadata enrichment within Data dictionary; Experience in standing up Business Glossary
• Creating documentation to help adoption efforts for the Data Catalog / DG tool
• Proficiency in writing and parsing SQL, extract business logic out of SQL and other pseudo code
• Experience with related Data Management and Governance concepts (MDM, RDM, DQ)
