Date Posted: 2023-09-29 Country: India Location: North Gate Business Park Sy.No 2/1, and Sy.No 2/2, KIAL Road, Venkatala Village, Chowdeshwari Layout, Yelahanka, Bangalore, Karnataka 560064 Position Role Type: Unspecified Job Title: Lead Engineer Job Overview: As a Test Engineer with expertise in SaaS, Python, Linux OS, curl, Shell scripts, and PyTest, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our SaaS-based software products. Proficiency in these skills will be essential in designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify issues early in the development lifecycle and later at the integration stage for end-to-end testing, contributing to the seamless delivery of top-notch software experiences to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover various SaaS modules and features.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, the Robot Framework, and PyTest to validate the functionality, performance, and security of our SaaS applications.
• Knowledge of JMeter for performance testing and curl & shell scripts for executing end to end tests in Linux environment
• Execute automated and manual tests to verify the functionality and compatibility of our applications on iOS platforms.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify potential defects, usability issues, and opportunities for enhancing the user experience.
• Continuously enhance the test suite by identifying areas for improvement, suggesting optimizations, and expanding test coverage to ensure comprehensive validation of software changes.
• Document and report defects accurately using issue tracking tools and collaborate with the development team to expedite issue resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and discussions with developers to facilitate early identification and resolution of defects.
• Contribute to refining and implementing QA processes, standards, and practices, fostering a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Test Engineer, with a focus on SaaS products, Python programming, JMeter, Curl, Shell scripts and Robot Framework automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming, including creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Familiarity with testing web & mobile applications, APIs, and microservices in a SaaS environment.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Gitlab) is a plus.
