Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Finite Element Analysis of Wind Turbines/Aero engine/ Turbo machinery/Structural components using ANSYS Classic, Hypermesh & Ansys workbench.
  • Should understand the physics of the problem & offer simplified FEM solution to customer.
  • Develop approach note for the project, Estimate time required to perform the analysis & perform feasibility study.
  • Collaborate with the technical Leads & Project leads in scheduling deliverables of each activity.
  • Take part in internal technical reviews as well as customer reviews.
Key skills/experience:
  • Mechanical Engineer with 6+ years of experience in the field of Engineering Analysis.
  • Must have sound knowledge in working principles of Wind Turbines/Aero engine/ Turbo machinery & should have hands on experience in performing Analysis on mechanical components.
  • Must Have excellent understanding of Stress Analysis & Fatigue Life evaluation
  • Should have sound knowledge of Strengths of materials & Fracture mechanics.
  • Should have ability to simplify the physical problem to mathematical model using FEM, techniques.
  • Must have excellent understanding of FINITE ELEMENT METHODS
  • Must have good experience in ANSYS APDL/Classic.
  • Good Knowledge of ANSYS APDL codes is must, must be able to develop productivity tools
  • Good to have hands on design experience using CREO.
  • Must be able to develop Hexahedral mesh using Ansys classic, Hypermesh & Ansys Work Bench.
  • Must be able to co relate test data and FEA data, Should have good experience in performing Hand calculation & results interpretation.
  • Should be an expert in 2D axisymmetric analysis, non-linear analysis.
  • Should have good experience in Structural, thermal and Dynamic analysis.
  • Must have knowledge of Submodeling, coupled field analysis, cyclic symmetric analysis.
  • Must have the experience of working with cross functional teams like Design, manufacturing etc.
  • Must have good verbal & written communication in English.
