Roles & Responsibilities:

• Exhibit leadership skills to manage both technical and team and drive the team to adopt best-in-class practices.
• Monitor & ensure effectiveness of communication across channels within the team as well as with customer; build & sustain healthy relationship & confidence w/ Cyient team.
• Cultivate technical knowledge within the team related to applications in the energy sector.
• Identify possible skill-gaps within the team and prepare training plan for the same. Conduct/facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to upskill the team in the areas related to project scope, through internal/external trainings.
• Ensure compliance to Quality processes laid out by the organization and participate in quality audits as necessary.
• Act as the gatekeeper for all deliverables, by conducting technical review before they are formally delivered to client.
• Ensure timely recording & reporting of KPIs; On-time-Delivery, First-Time-Acceptance, Effort Index, etc., as necessary.
• Monitor quality parameters like; quality score, # of turn-backs, # of escapes, and track the same through defect tracking process.
• Ensure well-rounded quality checklists are available to the team to keep up with quality expectation of deliverables.
• Assist the team in resolution of technical queries within the capacity of Cyient, unless required participation from client\xe2\x80\x99s end.
• Participate in meetings technical discussion with the client, as necessary.
• Conduct Scrum meetings with the team, to stay abreast with the status quo of all projects and team assignments and identify & mitigate risk as required.
• Identify resource requirements and proactively take actions with respect to hiring internal/external talent.
• Focus on automation to improve productivity & quality through process automation or tools to perform technical tasks.

Technical Skills:

• Receives project requirements and direction through meetings with the Regional or Project Manager and review of the contract documents.
• Generates and gathers all required final project documentation.
• Provides technical assistance to Customers.
• Develop the Electrical scope for the project, provide input to project cost estimates and schedules.
• Design complex electrical systems (LV, MV, HV) for electrical package of various equipment; gas turbines, gas turbine driven generators, compressors and electrical motor driven compressors.
• Prepare and/or review one-line and three-line diagrams.
• Create specifications for electrical equipment; Generators, Generator Control Panels, Motors (AC & DC), Motor Control Centers (MCC), Neutral Grounding Resistors (NGR) and Battery Chargers.
• Experience with understanding the cable requirements, cable sizing, tray sizing and cable glands.
• Proficient with schematics, Bills of Materials for Electrical equipment, junction boxes, etc.
• Reviewing customer specification and provide possible technical options/ solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Support to production during the assembly, construction and testing. Required knowledge/Skills, education, and experience.
• Develop substation relaying & metering diagrams (i.e. A.C. schematic diagrams), and D.C. Schematic diagrams.
• Perform load analysis, power system studies and evaluation of electrical equipment/circuits.
• Perform lighting calculations, and lightning design for industrial applications.
• Develop protection and control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Exposure with SCADA and Communications interfaces including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs will be added advantage.
• High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC), and/or Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology is an added advantage.
• Front-ending customer interaction to manage all technical topics, including technical construction and procurement topics.
• Awareness of Electrical Codes & Standards; IEC, NEC, IEEE, UL for electrical components.
• Review vendor documentation, as necessary.
• Practical site exposure on Erection and Commissioning of all electrical installation works will be added advantage.
• Ability to clearly articulate and communicate (verbal, writing) in English language with global stakeholders.
• Maintain & continuously adopt new technical skills and knowledge, with the evolving product lifecycle and subsequent requirements.

Qualification:

• Bachelor\'s/master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical engineering
• 12+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
