We are looking for forward-thinking engineers who want to be challenged and are interested in solving customers\' most pressing technical needs through electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and systems engineering. : Analysis center of excellence has an immediate opening for a Lead Engineer - CFD who will construct and solve advanced high quality CFD models, provide recommendations to Product Engineering on adequacy of the design for given application and how to improve or reduce costs. Use closed form hand calculation methods to verify analysis techniques. Evaluate new capabilities in CFD software for possible use in developing approaches for product enhancements. Involvement in the development and review of project proposals and reports for technical content of team members project as and when required. Write reports summarizing the analysis and recommendation using standard report formats. Guide team members and maintain documents as per process management for CFD. technically guiding junior engineers and performing engineering & technical activities in Mechanical & Structural design & analysis. Help team lead and supervisor in training new resources to make them productive. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with different counterparts to collect the project requirements in Vertiv organization around the world. This position will be located at Vertiv Global Engineering Center, Pune, India. Job Specifications: Must have Full Time ME/M.Tech with specialization in Thermal / Heat Power / Aerospace from a reputed Institute. Minimum 9 years of experience in CFD domain, Desirable experience in telecommunication, Electronics, and electrical industry products. Expertise in Ansys Fluent Steady and Transient simulation with single phase and multiphase fluid analysis for different systems Expert level knowledge in ANSYS Fluent for meshing, solving, and post processing is must. Minimum 1 year of experience with the multiphase flow in ANSYS Fluent is necessary Responsibilities include interpreting customer inputs to create product simulation models required in Fluent to perform CFD analysis, Pre-processing, Setup, post-processing, results and generating customer reports. Ability to generate good quality optimum mesh for model to minimize solve time in Fluent and resolve convergence issue in Fluent as well as guide team to address problems in their analysis model. Highly skilled in ability to interpret the Ansys Fluent simulation results, predict the root cause of failure and provide recommendation to meet or improve the performance of the system. Expertise on Steady, Transient Analysis using simulation SW such as Icepak / 6Sigma ET / 6Sigmaroom / Simcenter FloTHERM is added advantage Sound knowledge and deep understanding of subjects like Thermal Engineering / CFD / Fluid Mechanics / Heat Transfer. Knowledge of industry standards (UL, NEMA, IEC and Telcordia) will be added advantage. Expert in ability to interpret the CFD results, predict the root cause of failure and provide recommendation to meet or improve the performance of the system. Ability to provide coaching to the junior engineers to execute projects and recommend/make key engineering decisions. Work with Engineering team of different line of business for simulation need and recommend design changes as applicable. Validate concept designs using simulation techniques and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements. Capable of Handling Multiple Projects simultaneously. Strong Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills. Deploy standardized process and work methodology. Must be fluent in English with excellent communication skills - strong written and verbal. Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports, crisp presentations, proposals, statements of work etc. Good experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Demonstrate positive attitude, high ethics, and a working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
