Lead Engineer (BOH)- Restaurant Technology Purpose of the Position The Lead Engineer, Restaurant Technology has team-level responsibility for all technology aspects of Inspire Brands BOH Applications portfolio and will act as the primary technology liaison for the back-office team. This role drives the implementation and maintenance of restaurant technologies inclusive of Back of house Software, Inventory, Ordering, Pricing and Labor Management Systems as part of an all-inclusive restaurant technology landscape. This position is primarily based on support, maintenance, and development of new and existing applications/solutions in Inspire Brands Restaurant Technology portfolio. It includes having experience with development, deployment, and support of systems in cloud native environments. It also requires management of staff and project management responsibilities. & Responsibilities: Partner with key departments and vendors to define, establish and implement best practices and procedures for Back of house/Back-office applications primarily in modules Inventory management, Item management, Order management, Invoicing, Price Management, Stock audits, Forecasting, Inventory valuation, Organization hierarchy and Site configurations. Serving as the enterprise subject matter expert (SME) for the BOH portfolio applications and solutions. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and franchisee stakeholders at all levels to understand and address their business needs and concerns. Establishing andmaintaining SLA windows and escalation practices for all critical systems and processes Providing guidance and management for the creation of support, testing, and change management processes for theBOH environment tominimize operational riskwhile providing maximum transparency to stakeholders. Ensuring all system changes are fully documented, the appropriate user communities are trained prior to implementation andhelp desk turnover. Provide guidance and assistance to Managers and support individual growth. Experience Required: Required Minimum: 7+ years of experience in Store Operations/Back-office applications primarily in modules Inventory management, Item management, Order management, Invoicing, Price Management, Stock audits, Forecasting, Inventory valuation, Organization hierarchy and Site configurations. Required Minimum : 5+years Restaurant (QSR/TSR) environment experience. Preferred: 7+ years of experience in implementation / deployment of the on any of the following -Altametrics, CrunchTime, Blueyonder, Macromatix, Inventory Express, PDI solutions. Preferred: 5+ years of experience in systems design, integration, and implementation/deployment of infrastructure and supporting software applications. Prior systems administration/application configuration management experience is preferred. 5+ years of experience with strong troubleshooting skills on Web based and Mobile application issues. Candidates should have experience on database, APIs and monitoring tools (Splunk, NewRelic, AppDynamics) Strong knowledge of service management processes like incident, service request, change and problem. Working knowledge of ticket tracking tools like Salesforce/Service now/Jira Excellent in Requirements Analysis, Processes, System Specifications of Large-Scale Applications. Provides team with details on the business and domain aspects related to features being developed within a product. Communicates to the Product Management Group to raise awareness of potential risks related to applications within a project. SaaS/Cloud/Azure experience a plus Good to have experience troubleshooting/Managing Runtime Servers and relevant scripting languages (ex: PowerShell, Batch scripting, vb scripting etc.) Minimum Education and Training Required Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from a Tier I / Tier II College
