Basic Function

The role is an engineering position for the engineering office in Mumbai. The person would be involved in providing Electrical Engineering services from the Mumbai office to LYB Sites & Global Projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

The GP Mumbai group requires Electrical Engineering services to be provided for Capital & Site Projects in NA/EAI region

Functional Competencies -

• Hands on experience with Design of Electrical Power, installations (High/Medium /Low voltage) in Hydrocarbon Industry.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 National Electrical Code - Design , Review of design of Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematics
• Design , Review of Specifications, Data Sheets & Material Requisition for Electrical Equipment
• Review of Electrical Equipment vendor documents.
• Design, Review of Lighting system - Design, Review of Earthing/Grounding/Bonding Systems, Lightning system. Knowledge of NFPA 780, IEC 62305
• Design, Review Studies such as Equipment, Cable Sizing, Schedules.
• Design Review studies such as Short-Circuit, Load Flow, Equipment Sizing, Arc Flash, Protective Device coordination, Protective Device Settings, Motor Starting, using SKM (preferred), ETAP.
• Familiarity with Electrical Hazardous Area Classification drawings. Knowledge of API RP 500, 505, NFPA 496, 497 and IEC 60079
• Familiarity with Heat Tracing & Cathodic Protection systems
• Familiarity with process industry instrumentation systems power and grounding requirements - Familiarity with Lighting, Earthing & Cabling layouts, Material Take Off
• Familiarity with IEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL NEMA , ATEX and other international codes/Standards.
• Familiarity of maintenance requirements in Electrical Systems.
• Knowledge of safety requirements in Electrical Systems. Familiarity with NFPA 70E
• Familiarity with quality systems
• Good Communication skills.

Min. Qualifications

Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering from reputed Institutes Work Experience:

Minimum 6 and up to 9 years post qualification design experience (Domestic and International) with reputed Engineering or Petrochemical companies with at least two jobs as Discipline Engineer. Preferably should have also worked in industry in maintenance or in construction support roles.
