As a Lead Drafter - Advance Steel, you will play a critical role in designing and constructing FRP structures by creating accurate 3D models, producing detailed fabrication drawings, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of project drafting requirements. An ideal candidate must have expertise in Steel/FRP detailing techniques and advanced steel software. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Library Creation: Develop and maintain an extensive library of designs, components, and details within Advance Steel, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and compatibility with industry standards. Project Coordination: Lead drafters are often responsible for coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, timelines, and specifications. 3D Modeling: Using Advance Steel software, create and manage 3D models of steel structures. This includes accurately representing all structural components, such as beams, columns, braces, connections, etc. Detailing: Generating detailed fabrication drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and isometric views. These drawings are essential for the fabrication and construction of steel structures. Connection Design: Ensuring all connections between steel components are correctly designed and detailed, adhering to industry standards and codes. Quality Control: Review and check the drawings and models for accuracy and compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Collaboration: Collaborating with structural engineers, architects, and other professionals to resolve design and detailing issues and ensure the final product meets the project\'s requirements. Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a team of drafters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent quality and adherence to project timelines. Documentation: Maintaining proper documentation of all design changes, revisions, and communications related to the drafting and detailing. Software Proficiency: Staying up to date with the latest features and capabilities of Advance Steel software to maximize efficiency and productivity in the detailing process. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all drawings and details adhere to relevant industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations. Technical Expertise: Stay updated with Advance Steel software\'s latest advances and best practices, providing recommendations for improvements and efficiencies. Continual Learning: Staying updated with advancements in steel detailing technology and industry trends to improve efficiency and quality in the drafting process. Qualifications Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Advance Steel drafting or related technical tools Proficient in 2D and 3D drawings Strong understanding of drafting techniques, principles, and standards Experience working with FRP composite products or similar materials is highly desirable Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills Degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field
