We are looking for: Lead Devops Engineer

You\xe2\x80\x99ll make a difference by:

• Drive discussions around Devops, technical concepts and specifications based on the analysis of customer processes and requirements, identify potential interfaces, re-usable components.
• Manage CI CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, as well as automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Handle Linux Operating Systems and cloud environments. Building and setting up new development tools, infrastructure, and Networking.
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers. Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats. Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and \xe2\x80\x98fixes\xe2\x80\x99.
• System troubleshooting and maintenance, administering development tools and systems (JIRA, Confluence, CICD tools etc.,), Deploy updates and fixes.
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Knowledge-Management competence building practice exchange. Ability to estimate complex solutions, assess complex customer requirements and advise customers on the feasibility, selection, development, effort, and implementation of specific IT solutions.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors. Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Develop scripts to automate visualization.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll win us over by:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in core DevOps role.
• Proficient with git and git workflows, Ruby or Python, Cloud environments mainly AWS.
• Collaborative team spirit in an Agile set up. [Scrum, Kanban]. Hands on Containers and container orchestration tools.
• Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation.
• Exhibit high level of mentorship. Steps in to solve issues even if it is beyond defined scope and drives self and team to "get it done".

Siemens
