About the Role : Lead DevOps and Automation Engineer
The Team : The selected candidate will be part of the S&P Global Technology\xe2\x80\x99s Cloud and Infrastructure, DevOps and Automation team to take charge of our infrastructure automation efforts and API integrations. As a part of our DevOps team, you\'ll drive the automation and development of reusable templates and workflows using CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and oversee API integrations for seamless communication across systems. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems, empowering our development teams to deliver high-quality software with speed and agility. Responsibilities and Impact : Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and deployment of applications.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
Collaborate with development teams to streamline the release process and improve deployment efficiency.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
Design and implement API integrations for various services and systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions to meet business needs.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of the infrastructure and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, automation, and API management.
Collaborate with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For: Joining our team as the Lead Cloud DevOps and Automation Engineer means becoming an integral part of the Cloud & Infrastructure team. You\'ll play a pivotal role in shaping our automation strategy as we embark on a journey towards Devops adoption. If you\'re a seasoned automation expert with a passion for software-defined infrastructure services, this position is tailor-made for you. In your role, you\'ll not only ensure that our cloud infrastructure is meticulously designed and implemented but also uphold the highest security standards. By doing so, you\'ll bolster and elevate business trust, maintain alignment with strategic and division plans, and provide invaluable transparency into technology investments across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and maintaining robust automation frameworks and pipelines, along with expertise in API integration and management. As a Lead DevOps and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the automation strategy, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure.
Basic Required Qualifications : Master\xe2\x80\x99s or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in technology or engineering required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, automation, and API management roles.
Extensive experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell, Python and Ansible
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
Additional Preferred Qualifications : Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Process-oriented with great documentation skills
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
