The Role Responsibilities Job Role Implementing the product\'s lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment, and maintenance. Developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration. Providing improvements to the product(s) being supported. Actively participating in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives and solution releases. Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development / refinement of software engineering guidelines Writing technical documentation. Strategy The resource should align with Bank\'s strategy to improve client relationship with sold product deliveries. Help team member\'s development and ensuring that all the necessary training is provided / arranged in timely manner and team stay motivated. Improve code quality statistics, participate / drive code reviews and continuously reduce technical debt. Identifying / Gathering / Questioning and challenging when necessary / documenting the interface requirements. Provide inputs on existing processes and collaborate with DevOps team towards automation and delivery efficiency. Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies. Collaborate with teams globally to deliver, present ideas and innovate. Model behaviours that facilitate Agile delivery. Exhibit passion for client experience with a user-first mindset. Business Candidate should have experience in Banking domain with real time experience in Client OnBoarding domain. Processes Candidate should be familiar with Corporate Client\'s Onboarding Process, KYC / Due Diligence and Maintenance process. People and Talent Candidate should be good in collaborating with fellow team members and being the lead person should be able to guide and mentor team technically and wherever required. Risk Management Candidate should have strong experience in foreseeing the risk from project and delivery perspective. Reporting and Controlling the Risk by applying appropriate mitigation process. Governance Role not related to Regulatory or Governance. However, candidate expected to follow the Group Policy and Governance process. Regulatory and Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association. Key Stakeholders Ops CC Projects, OPS Global Banking - GBS Project Our Ideal Candidate Strong knowledge of Struts, Spring Boot, Hibernate framework, a good understanding of REST API principles and best practices. Actively participate in all the SDLC phases throughout project till implementation and post production support. Any industry standard certification in Java / J2E / Agile methodologies is an added advantage. Experience in writing SQLs / PL-SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers). Experience with Container (Docker) and Container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Ability to explain technical solutions to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders. Professional software engineering experience with Java / J2E development. Experience / Knowledge in Version Control systems like GIT, Bitbucket, etc. Good at writing clean, modular, readable, and testable Java code. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud services. Experience in Continuous Integration Tool - Jenkins / Hudson. Proficient with CI / CD practices and production deployment. Familiarity with basic web application security concepts. Good knowledge in shell scripting and Unix commands. Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams. Experience in building Microservices. Strong problem-solving skills.
