Who You are: As Senior Database Administrator, you will apply deep product expertise and skills by working as part of a Database Centre of Excellence team to design and build database specific solutions in our new state of the art Infinite Talent BrassRing Product. Working as part of a team that does what it takes to ensure success, you will implement this SaaS application to achieve high reliability and scalability. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Manage SQL Server Database Backups and Recovery solutions and Strategies understanding Data Retention and Disaster Recovery Plans for the product. Manage SQL Server Patching and upgrades understanding security vulnerabilities and SQL Server solutions used for the Product. Applying Experienced knowledge in SQL Server Clustering, Always On Availability Groups, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Table Partitioning, Change Data Capture and Change Tracking Solutions. Experience in Data Archiving and Purging solutions. Experience in implementation and managing service broker queues. Expert knowledge in managing the security standards for the databases from product perspective. Troubleshooting, analysis and providing resolutions to customer issues regarding Database Performance (Blocking, Query Tuning, Updating Statistics, Understanding SQL Plans) understanding the client impact. T-SQL Code reviews as per product standard understanding schema of the product and in- built SQL Server and Home developed solutions used in the product. Database Schema Design for product improvements and enhancements. Understanding Release Maintenance cycles and changes planned for the product from database perspective. Understanding Pre-Maintenance and Maintenance Windows from Infrastructure perspective. Skills on Azure Cloud offerings, services, cost Optimization and abilities in terms of the product. Collaborating with Developers for code specific concerns(blocking and query performance) and issues, also infrastructure teams(hosting, storage, network) for any infrastructure issues. Ability to develop Powershell scripts and T-SQL scripts for Database tasks automation. Creating and monitoring of alerts in SQL Server and also using different tools like Idera SQL Diagnostic Manager and plan to define permanent resolutions. Lead and mentor junior DBA\'s Required Professional and Technical Expertise: B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent specialisation Strong technical experience in RDBMS concepts and SQL Server solutions. 5-12 years of experience as a core SQL Server database administrator. Experience in managing SQL Server Databases in Azure Cloud. Experience in Azure Cloud Pros, Cons, limitations from Database Server builds perspectives. Experience in writing T-SQL scripts and stored procedures as needed. Experience with Database design and defining database Schema as per the business requirements. Experience in developing Windows scripts and PowerShell scripts for Automation and Monitoring purposes. Experience in developing solutions using Azure Data Factory is a plus. Certifications in Azure Cloud is a plus. Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding and implementation of complex, custom-built applications. Great object orientation skills, including strong knowledge on design patterns. Strong Knowledge on Change Data Capture and Change Tracking solutions for auditing purposes. Strong Knowledge in High availability solutions like Log Shipping, Always On Availability Groups and Mirroring. Experience in Understanding of IIS, Application services and scheduled tasks, Excellent communication skills internally and externally. Experience working with Developers and Infrastructure teams across many stages during the daily Database Operations. Strong Problem solving skills Ability to demonstrate leadership skills Willing to learn new skills and collaborate with the other teams ATS, HRIS and other HR system experience highly desirable. Familiarity with ETL technologies & Big Data Tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc is a plus.
