In this role, you will: • Lead design, development, and implementation of complex analytical processes and data driven algos/models to extract patterns and relationships from large/diverse data sets and convert into meaningful insights and evidence based strategies for HR business problems and challenges
• Utilize expertise in advanced analytical techniques such as AI, Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to process data at scale and synthesize into actionable intelligence, including unstructured data sources (e.g. employee surveys, performance reviews, skills inventory)
• Leverage modern data science tools and methodologies to perform quantitative and qualitative research and investigate opportunities across employee life cycle (e.g. talent sourcing, workforce planning, learning/development, employee experience, listening/engagement, retention/attrition)
• Develop predictive models to forecast complex HR related issues, such as turnover and staffing
• Generate hypotheses regarding trends and drivers of employee behavior/performance, execute statistical tests to support/disprove, ensuring reliability, explainability, and ethics/responsibility
• Present findings with effective storytelling, visualizations, and clear communication to interpret findings and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures, including ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model development/deployment, performance monitoring/tuning, etc.
• Ensure data integrity and quality standards, adhering to internal and external policies, procedures, and best practices for HR data management, risk/governance, and legal/regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with HR stakeholders across functional teams to understand talent strategies, opportunities, and pain points to align analytical products/services with business outcomes
• Drive data literacy and advocate for data-driven decision-making within the organization
• Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and people analytics
• Lead analytical projects with clear communication of objectives, tasks, and timelines
• Lead complex initiatives by utilizing data-driven, advanced analytical, statistical techniques, algorithms, or models to make actionable insights, trends, recommendations, including those that are cross-functional with broad impact acting as key participant in large-scale planning
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term business, operational, or technical challenges that require in-depth hypothesis generation and advanced analysis of multiple parts, including intangibles or unprecedented factors
• Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring an expertise in analytical thinking to resolve abstract business issues that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to drive recommendations and strategies based on data driven, analytical insights, trends, and patterns that will resolve issues and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor
• Execute complex analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to discover solutions for abstract business problems across various domains
• Interpret and analyze data, using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies
• Provide consultation to peers on data science best practices, methods, and tools to leverage
• Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels
Desired Requirements • 5+ years of data science experience, with expertise in advanced analytics (AI/ML) and statistical techniques/modeling, including quantitative and qualitative methods
• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
• Relevant years of experience in HR domain, people analytics/workforce insights, highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML techniques, libraries/packages (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and other programming tools/apps for data mining/modeling
• Experience with NLP techniques and framework (e.g. NLTK, spaCy, BERT), highly preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically
• Well-versed in data visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI, PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication/presentation skills
• Ability to execute in fast paced, highly controlled environment w/ multiple priorities
• Experience with big data tools/platforms/frameworks (Hadoop/Spark/Scala)
• Experience working with HR systems and data sources (e.g. Workday, Medallia, ServiceNow)
• Experience across full stack data science pipeline/ecosystem, including data ingestion, wrangling/preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection/development/deployment, etc.
