  • Create and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics use cases in service operations area
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements; own the delivery of data modelling and data pipelines
  • Develop technical & physical data models using optimal data model structure for data warehouse and data mart designs to support organizational needs
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
  • Collaborate with technology and platform management partners to optimize data sourcing and processing rules to ensure appropriate data quality
  • Hands-on role (100%) - building data solutions using best practices and architecture recommendations
  • Assist the Data Engineering team produce high-quality code, shape next generation of data platform and guide/mentor other DE team members
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s / Master\'s in engineering (Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or similar)
  • ETL/Data pipeline tools related Azure and Databricks certifications will be an added advantage
  • Relevant hands-on experience in data modeling and data engineering, with proven history of applying data engineering for enabling business analytics
  • Previous experience from exposure to multi-cultural and international organizations
  • Has been working as a Data Engineer for 7+ years, with an overall experience of 8-10 years including lead developer role mentoring junior developers
CompetenciesData Engineering Experience:
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with modern datawarehousing, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (RDBMS, Datawarehouse, Datalake)
  • Experience in building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT & data transformation pipelines to support continuing increase in data volume and complexity
  • Enterprise working experience in business intelligence/analytics teams supporting design, development, and maintenance of backend data layer for BI/ML solutions
  • Deep understanding of data structure / data models to design and develop data solutions ensuring data availability, security, and accessibility
Tools/Technologies/Frameworks:
  • Full working knowledge in Snowflake, Microsoft SQLServer or other RDBMS databases, with experience in developing data workloads using SQL/Procedures to build data layer for BI/analytics is mandatory
  • Hands-on working experience in one of the Data Integration tools like Databricks/Azure Data Factory similar tool is mandatory
  • Experience/working knowledge in Azure ecosystem (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics) or Snowflake Datawarehouse is advantageous
  • oHands-on working experience in DBT (Data Build Tool) to build ELT workloads and in SSAS/Azure Analysis services to build tabular models may be beneficial
  • Proficiency in code management / version control tools such as GIT, DevOps
Business/Soft Skills:
  • Strong in software engineering fundamentals; experience in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders across different geographies and collaborate with analytics & data science teams to match technical solutions with customer business requirements
  • Curious and enthusiastic about building value-creating and innovative data solutions
  • Fluency in English and have good communication, presentation skills
