The Role: Lead Data Engineer

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

Solera engineers are trusted with the responsibility of designing and developing solutions that embraces quality and reliability while delivering performance across all platforms. Your role will be to spearhead these efforts and be a leader and mentor for others on the engineering team,Such as below

Responsible for contributing to an orchestration layer of complex data transformations, refining raw data from source into targeted, valuable data assets for consumption in a governed way

Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, other engineers, and business stakeholders to solve complex and exciting challenges so that we can build out capabilities that evolve the business model while making a positive impact on our customers\' lives

Partnering with Back-end, product, QA, operations, and other technical team leads in design, test, release planning, and coordination.

Mentoring engineers in technologies, patterns, and best practices while leading by example in your areas of expertise.

Diagnosing, characterizing, and addressing performance, scale, and cross-platform stability issues

Leading design reviews and code reviews for components and systems

Prototyping and championing new technology introductions to the platform.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring

BS degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience

12+ years of strong development and technical leadership experience

Experience building data pipelines with data from event streams, NoSQL, APIs etc. using distributed data frameworks

Experience in batch processing and stream processing

Experience designing and delivering data integrations, data lakes and data warehouses

Experience with different aspects of data systems including database design, data modeling, performance optimization, SQL etc.

Experience in Kafka, Spark Streaming , AWS and Docker is a huge plus

Coding experience with Scala/Python or similar language required

Communicate and document solutions and design decisions

Strong communication skills (able to explain concepts to non-technical audiences as well as peers)

Self-starter who is highly organized, communicative, quick learner, and team-oriented
