About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer... The Lead Control Management Officer, CO Integration and COO IL will be responsible for: Coordinating QA/QC activity for monthly and quarterly submissions for COO business unit risk and control committees Support updates to the program scope, tool, and playbook as new business units are added through RCSA or move-the-line activities Provide insights for commentary on QA/QC results Track monthly execution of controls owned by the Central Control Programs & Business Management (CCP&B) team Perform policy adherence monitoring activities for policies owned by the CCP&B team as mandated within the respective controls Develop business partnerships with CCP&B and COO partners to deliver value to the respective teams by providing input and opportunities for continuous improvement Document work activity in accordance with established procedures, team standards and best practices that are transparent to an independent third party Identification and communication of findings for feedback and/or confirmation Identifying opportunities to enhance processes and procedures, to include identification of learning opportunities and content based on trends identified Building and sustaining a strong risk culture that identifies and provides oversight and escalation of existing and emerging compliance and operational risk issues Effectively track any needed remediations through closure Publishing reports in a timely manner Supporting any incremental activities and initiatives and working independently on program activities Developing and articulating sound proposals to key stakeholders, and an ability to influence and drive timely decision making Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 6+ years must include direct experience in risk management demonstrated through work or military experience Effective communicator (strong listening and communications skills), both orally and in writing, able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner, good listener who engenders creative thinking and teamwork along with strong presentation skills Expert-level knowledge of industry standards and best practices around monitoring, testing, quality assurance, risk management, and management reporting processes QA / QC, Audit, or roles with review based activity experience and familiar with various quality assurance techniques Risk management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive improvements Extensive experience designing and executing risk assessment, control testing / QA / QC programs, including the development of consistent standards and methodologies Skilled on Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality output from self and team Desired Qualifications: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results Experience working in a matrixed environment and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships Experience in automation / advanced excel / reporting will be an advantage Experience in data automation along with advanced excel and report generation skills Risk management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive improvements.
