Job Title: Lead Consultant - Solution ArchitectCareer Level - EIntroduction to Role:Join us at AstraZeneca as a Lead Consultant - Solution Architect in our Operations IT - IGNITE / Solution Architecture team based in Chennai. This role is a unique opportunity to architect solutions that enable and deliver the desired business capabilities in alignment with AstraZenecas IT strategy, roadmap, principles and standards. You will be working with other Solutions Architects across the Plan (Supply Chain), Source (Procurement and External Sourcing / Manufacture) and Deliver (Logistics) domains.Accountabilities:As a Solution Architect for Source, you will be accountable for the solution architecture and design in the Source domain area. You will design architectures, solution blueprints for programmes, projects or solutions that address business, application, data and infrastructure requirements. You will ensure that solution architectures and designs are appropriately robust and address business, application, information and infrastructure architectural requirements. You will also work with third party suppliers as required and contribute to the creation of local or functional design documents.Essential Skills/Experience:Relevant technical degree or equivalentProven skills and experience being the solution architect on projects and programmesProven development/design experience in at least one technical domainExperience of developing innovative solutions, blueprints and standards for solution designExperience implementing and maintaining business solution architectures under any formal framework for their domain of architectureExperience of developing and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliersStrong networking skills with good internal/external linksWell-developed communication and facilitation skillsAbility to interpret and communicate technical information into business languageExcellent analytical skillsExcellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skillsEvidence of shaping innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organisationDemonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural workingExperience working in a global organization where stakeholders and project team members are geographically dispersedAbility to travel to AstraZenecas global Operations sitesAbility to work well in diverse, multinational teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomesMasters degreeArchitecture certifications, e.g. TOGAF or BCSStrong knowledge and experience with procurement platforms and solutions including Coupa, Jaggaer, SAP Ariba, Coupa and One Network or other similar platformsAwareness of other developments in the marketplace, with a Source domain focus, and their potential impact and opportunities to AZExcellent business acumen and strong knowledge of Source-related business processesDemonstrated leadership skills interacting with senior leadersExperience in developing/maturing an architectural practiceUnderstanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, IT trends and of competitor activityWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
