The role will ensure that the common architecture decisions are implemented consistently across the business and IT. The role will provide Information Technology architectural expertise and technical direction to systemdevelopment and integration projects. The Architect will work on architectures for Information Services/Information Technology solutions and will specialise in at least one architecture domain Solution ArchitectThe role will be accountable to provide solution design support in one of the below focused domains of architecture.\xc3\x98 Data\xc3\x98 Application\xc3\x98 Infrastructure\xc2\xb7 Designs architectures, solution blueprints for projects or solutions that address business/application/data/infrastructure requirements\xc2\xb7 Works with Business Analysis and Solution Engineering functions and supports functional & technical requirements management, including driving software selection processes\xc2\xb7 Ensures that solution architectures and designs are appropriately robust and address business, application, information and infrastructure architectural requirements\xc2\xb7 Accountable for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned to AstraZeneca\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Architecture, in support of a given portfolio.\xc2\xb7 The Solution Architect will partner with project managers, business analysts, and solution engineers to create solutions that are aligned to AstraZeneca architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet the financial targets (cost and benefits).\xc2\xb7 Within the solution development lifecycle the role will be accountable for solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case.\xc2\xb7 Provides technical & IT expertise support to project teams and conducts AZ architectural reviews throughout project lifecycle\xc2\xb7 Ensures compliance with existing EA guidelines and standards (e.g. AZ Architecture Engagement Process (ISPMM) and EA Software Standards)\xc2\xb7 Contribures to project and service teams in the development, implementation and maintenance of standard architectural components\xc2\xb7 Works with third party suppliers as required and contributes to the creation of local or functional design documents\xc2\xb7 Works with third party suppliers to verify technical development and delivery are in adherence with the Architecture Roadmap, Blueprint and Information Services Strategy\xc2\xb7 Documents all architecture analysis and design work\xc2\xb7 Develops strong knowledge and expertise in at least one architecture domain\xc2\xb7 Contributes to the development of the Architecture Capability within Information Services, by documenting and sharing knowledge and best practices with peer ArchitectsEducation, Qualifications, and ExperienceEssentialRelevant technical degree or equivalent\xc2\xb7 Proven development/design experience in at least one technical domain.\xc2\xb7 Experience of developing innovative solutions, blueprints, and standards for solution design.\xc2\xb7 Experience implementing and maintaining business solution architectures under any formal framework for their domain of architecture.\xc2\xb7 Experience of developing and managing relationshipswith 3rd party suppliers.DesirableDemonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working\xc2\xb7 Experience in developing/maturing an architectural practice .Skills and Capabilities.EssentialStrong networking skills with good internal/external links\xc2\xb7 Well developed communication and facilitation skills\xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language\xc2\xb7 Awareness of developments in the marketplace for domain focus and potential impact to AZ IS.Desirable.Proven business acumen\xc2\xb7 Understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry and of competitor activity, on a particular architecture and Information Management\xc2\xb7 Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation,WHY JOIN US?We\xe2\x80\x99re a network of high-reaching self-starters who contribute to something far bigger.
