Job Title: Lead Consultant - Product EngineerCareer Level - EIntroduction to role:Join our Commercial IT Data Analytics & AI (DAAI) team as a DevOps leader. You will be managing a Product team of Data and Visualization engineers and will be responsible for the delivery of various Platform/Product release trains. With a strong skillset in Snaplogic, Informatica, Visualization tools, and the AWS suite of applications, you will be a key player in our team.Accountabilities:As a Lead Consultant, you will guide a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions. You will provide technical expertise to the team and 3rd party development engineers to ensure consistency in adherence to AZ IT and Commercial IT standards and processes. You will evaluate the applicability of new technologies / application features and make recommendations for technology and business strategic roadmaps. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using Snaplogic, Informatica, PowerBI, and AWS services. You will collaborate with the Data Quality team to develop and enforce standard methodologies for data management, data quality and data governance. You will demonstrate expert understanding of the application development processes of AstraZeneca\xe2\x80\x99s implementation of the data product. You will serve as a mentor for junior team members by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs. You will establish partnerships with 3rd party suppliers for staff augmentation and project capacity and provide technical oversight for projects implemented through these suppliers. You will serve as an internal consultant for IT and business partners across regions and business areas (Commercial, Medical). You will drive the adoption of new technologies and tools to improve data engineering processes and efficiency.Essential Skills/Experience:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldDemonstrable experience in a data engineering or similar role, with at least 3 years of experience in managing and leading a team.A broad understanding of cloud architecture (preferably in AWS)Strong experience in Snaplogic, Inforatica, PowerBI and the AWS suite of applications (like S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, EMR).Experienced in Agile Development techniques and Methodologies.Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes and data warehousing conceptsSuperb communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven experience of handling relationships with 3rd party suppliers.Desirable Skills/Experience:Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or SparkCertification in AWS or Databricks.Proficiency in programming languages such as PythonMachine Language or GenAI experience.Prior significant experience working in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry IT environment.Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines.When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash ambitious thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
