•Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - MS SQL DBA Responsibilities•

• •Refresh of DBs in all environments to support development / change activities (QA / UAT / TRN / PROD)•
• •Summarized Reports on Database growth and table space usage Periodic Object and Extent growth reports.•
• •Monitor objects reaching max extents check database is up and running•
• •Check Database services & its listener status•
• •Check for locks on database•
• •Monitoring the free space on table spaces which are reaching threshold value Monitor file system usage and validating free space•
• •Basic cleaning up of unwanted files in dump upon approval of relevant personnel,•
• •Monitor inactive database connections.•
• •Killing inactive database sessions based on agreed time of Inactive sessions.•
• •Periodic backups of database and ensuring the validity of backups and recovery solutions.•
• •Backup management and scheduled backup weekly, monthly and daily•
• •Check database for runaway processes and remediation•
• •Monitoring of all scheduled jobs, report failed jobs, remediation of failed jobs•
• •Monitoring database processes and identify processes which are consuming CPU, virtual memory, disk I/O, other parameters that are higher than threshold values, providing monthly trend reports•
• •Database performance trending and capacity planning•
• •Database Patching and Upgrades•
• •Patching of SQL Server environments•
• •Supporting applications teams in maintenance / upgrade events in relation to DBA activities•
• •Other Database activities•
• •Creation of users, roles, privileges etc.•
• •Support for applications DBA activities.•
• •Planning & performing minor database upgrades, instance creation for trial upgrades•
• •Project based activities related to major DB upgrades and infrastructure shifts or movements•
• •Database Security reviews and action in relation to deficiencies whether system or user access related•
• •Disaster Recovery•
• •Monitoring, management, remediation and improvement of disaster recovery components and processes relating to DB infrastructure•
• •Other•
• •Assisting other IT Support and Project teams with DBA related needs•
• •Identifying improvements in process and practices used inclusive of keeping documentation current•

• •Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.•
