Job Title - Lead Consultant - Data EngineerCareer Level - EIntroduction to Role:Are you ready to leverage technology to impact patients and ultimately save lives? As a Lead Consultant - Data Engineer at AstraZeneca, you will build fully automated reusable data pipelines, maintain and build complex Data Orchestration systems, and collaborate with colleagues across IT and within Business Data teams. You will have the opportunity to optimize data architecture, resolve engineering issues, support Data Ops and ML Ops activities, and work closely with third-party suppliers.Accountabilities:As a Lead Consultant - Data Engineer, you will maintain deep working knowledge of data platforms/ data products and infrastructure aligned with commercial IT. You will build, test, deploy, and maintain data pipelines. You will provide technical expertise to peers and 3rd party development suppliers, work with platform delivery resources, evaluate new technologies, and serve as a mentor for junior staff members. You will also establish partnerships with 3rd party suppliers for staff augmentation and provide technical oversight for projects implemented through these suppliers.Essential Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Prior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment
• Proven experience of managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as a Data Analyst or related
• Strong data engineering skills with AWS cloud platform
• Experienced in Agile Development techniques and Methodologies
• 3-5 years of dynamically responsible experience working with Databricks, Workflows and Apache Airflow
• Expertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment methods delivered as part of an agile team
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
• A broad understanding of cloud architecture
• Strong communication and social skills
• Ability to work within both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Proven experience of managing and coaching/mentoring junior engineers
• Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
• Customer Experience
• Prior significant experience working in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry IT environment
• Experience working with IQVIA Claims, National and subnational sales data
